Sunday School runs from mid-September to late May. Kindergarten-4th grade kids have a rotation-style structure where they travel to crafts, storytelling & snack, and alternating games or music. 5th grade kids have small-group style discussions to help them grow and develop an active faith.
Engaging Activities - The adventure for K-4th graders will include the following three rotations: crafts, music or games (alternating weeks), and storytelling & snack to help kids experience the stories in memorable, creative ways. Each rotation will reinforce God's Word in a way that sticks.
More Movement - Kids will get to explore Bible stories through a variety of activities instead of sitting in one spot.
Safer & Smoother Process - You will check-in and check-out your kids from their designated Sunday School classroom instead of going to Sunday School from worship. You'll be able to fully immerse yourselves in Sunday morning worship while feeling secure with the drop-off and pick-up process. This process also provides an opportunity for you to connect with your child's teacher every week.
Individualized Based on Developmental Stage - Our goal is to provide material engaging for each child based on their developmental stage. For this reason, rotation groups will be organized by grade for the K-4 program. To remain developmentally appropriate, the preschool and 5th grade program will be structured a bit differently than the K-4th grade program. Preschoolers will have similar activities, but they will remain in one room for the entirety of the program, so they can experience the fun in a developmentally friendly space. 5th graders will be in a separate Sunday School program called Grapple that will operate like a small group with relevant, weekly topics to help students engage with and strengthen their faith.
One Story - In worship, you'll be learning, interacting with, and experiencing the same story as your child at Faith in Motion Sunday School. This allows you to discuss Sunday morning messages with your kids, as the learning is congruent. That means there is one story for worship, Sunday School, and the drive home!
